Dalam rangka meningkatkan daya saing bangsa Indonesia di segala bidang baik untuk para aktivis, khususnya mutu pendidikan dan pengembangan potensi sumber daya daerah yang dinilai masih sangat rendah, beberapa waktu yang lalu Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional Republik Indonesia (Kemdiknas) telah mencanangkan program Beasiswa Unggulan tingkat nasional dan internasional.

Tujuan dari Beasiswa Unggulan ini, adalah sebagai upaya meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia di Indonesia. Program beasiswa unggulan memiliki visi melahirkan insan terbaik bangsa yang memiliki pemahaman kebangsaan secara komprehensif, integritas dan kredibilitas tinggi, berkepribadian, unggul, moderat, serta peduli terhadap kehidupan bangsa dan negara.

Program Pascasarjana Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia (PPs FTI UII) merupakan salah satu Program Pascasarjana yang mendapatkan kepercayaan untuk mengelola program beasiswa unggulan tersebut. Dr Sri Kusumadewi, S.Si, M.T selaku Direktur Program Pascasarjana Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia (PPs FTI UII) menyatakan bahwa “suatu kebanggaan bagi kami, mendapatkan amanah serta kepercayaan dari Biro Perencanaan dan Kerjasama Luar Negeri Sekretariat Jenderal KEMDIKNAS Republik Indonesia, untuk mengelola Beasiswa Unggulan ini, penawaran beasiswa ini khusus bagi calon mahasiswa yang akan menempuh Program Pascasarjana (S2) di Magister Teknik Informatika dan Magister Teknik Industri”.

Pendaftaran selambatnya pada tanggal 10 September 2011 sedangkan tes seleksi akan dilaksanakan pada hari Senin tanggal 12 September 2011 bertempat di Gedung Fakultas Teknologi Industri Universitas Islam Indonesia Kampus Terpadu UII Jalan Kaliurang Km 14.4 Sleman Yogyakarta. Pada program ini, bagi calon mahasiswa yang dinyatakan Lulus, maka akan diterima sebagai mahasiswa Magister Teknik Informatika angkatan ke IV atau mahasiswa Magister Teknik Industri angkatan ke XI, sesuai pilihan minat calon mahasiswa, jelas Dr Sri Kusumadewi, S.Si, M.T.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarships – MA in International Performance Research (MAIPR)

The Erasmus Mundus MA in International Performance Research (MAIPR) is aimed at students with a particular interest and/or background in the performing arts, therefore those who may wish to pursue a career in or add value to already existing skills in aspects of arts practice or pursue an academic career through advanced study, perhaps leading to a Ph.D.
The current MAIPR intakes are truly international, made up of students from all continents (except Antartica!) We have students who have entered straight after finishing their undergraduate degrees in performance-related disciplines and others who have worked as directors, choreographers, curators, dancers and actors. You should bear in mind, however, that MAIPR is not a practical training programme. What it will do is help you develop and enhance your theoretical knowledge about performance-related issues, and it will certainly add value to your already existing skills base.
Funded by the European Commission, the MAIPR from autumn 2011 will be offered by four internationally renowned academic institutions: the University of Warwick in the UK; the Universiteit van Amsterdam (the University of Amsterdam) in The Netherlands; the Univerzitet Umetnosti u Beogradu (University of Arts Belgrade) in Serbia; and the Helsingin Yliopisto (the University of Helsinki) in Finland.
Students successfully completing the programme will receive a double degree awarded by the Universities of Warwick, Amsterdam or Arts Belgrade.
Erasmus Mundus Scholarships
Erasmus Mundus (EM) Scholarships are funded by the European Commission (EC), under the management of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). EM scholarships are awarded to the strongest applicants to the MAIPR programme itself, in accordance with the rules and regulations set by the EACEA.
There are two EM scholarship competitions that are linked to the MAIPR programme itself: Category A and Category B. The competitions are open to MAIPR applicants only and are therefore not available to students applying for other programmes.
The following are the details on the two competitions. Please check carefully to see which competition applies to your own circumstances:
CATEGORY A: € 36 000 (2011-12 grants have now been allocated)
Category A scholarships are aimed at covering all the costs of the programme, therefore fees, travel and living expenses over 16 months:

• 7 scholarships for eligible third-country applicants (therefore those whose nationality and place of abode are outside of the EU/EEA/EFTA area) who have lived, studied and/or worked for LESS THAN a cumulative period of 12 months within the EU/EEA/EFTA area as at 31 January 2011.
• 1 additional scholarship is reserved for an eligible West Balkans and Turkish applicant who has lived, studied and/or worked for LESS THAN a cumulative period of 12 months within the EU/EEA/EFTA area as at 31 January 2011.

After the € 12 000 programme fee has been deducted from the EM scholarship, you will receive € 24 000. This amount is made up as follows:

• € 8 000 travel and installation allowance
• € 16 000 monthly stipend

The above will usually be paid in 16 x monthly instalments of € 1 500. The first payment will be made shortly after arrival at your home university.
category B: € 17 000 (2011-12 grants have now been allocated).
Category B scholarships are considered as financial contributions rather than full scholarships:

• 8 scholarships for eligible EU/EEA/EFTA applicants, also third-country applicants who have lived, studied and/or worked for MORE THAN a cumulative period of 12 months within the EU/EEA/EFTA area as at 31 January 2011.

After the programme fee has been deducted from the EM scholarship, an EU student will receive € 8 000 living allowance a €3 000 travel and installation allowance. This will be paid at a rate of €687.50.

Master Scholarships for Indonesian Citizen to USA, PRESTASI IIEF USAID

A key component of the U.S. government’s development program in Indonesia has always been training, and the support for both short and long-term exchange opportunities continues to be powerful tool in helping individuals, organizations, and institutions acquire the knowledge, skills, and capacity to support Indonesia’s on-going development. Program to Extend Scholarships and Training to Achieve Sustainable Impacts (PRESTASI) provides opportunities for Indonesians to earn Master degrees in selected fields primarily from a university in the US.PRESTASI is open to all Indonesians who meet the requirements.
Target of Participant for PRESTASI Program are as follow:

• Emerging Leaders
• NGO
• Public and private sector institutions
• Female participation
• Under-represented and disadvantaged areas

The selection process is highly competitive. Candidates must show:

• Leadership abilities
• Excellence in a technical field
• Academic interests that are relevant to the achievement of USAID/Indonesia and GOI development goals
• Academic or other necessary qualifications for the desired training.

The goal of PRESTASI is to improve the performance and leadership skills of Indonesian professionals, which, in turn will help to promote development in Indonesia. Specifically, PRESTASI will provide training and technical services required to strengthen and expand the base of skilled, high-performing professionals and institutions in Indonesia’s public and private sector.
General requirements:

• Indonesian Citizen
• Not an employee of USAID / USAID contractors
• Available for a minimum of 5 (five) years of employment prior to retirement upon completion of study
• Evidence of English ability in the form of either TOEFL^® ITP score of 450 and TOEFL^® IBT and IELTS^™equivalent.

PRESTASI will continue to support the tradition of participant training and human capacity development by providing opportunities for advanced academic degrees in the U.S. and Indonesia. Since 2007, PRESTASI has supported 162 participants for short term opportunities and 159 participants for longer term opportunities to study in the U.S., Indonesia and third countries.

Nestlé Scholarship for Women, IMD Business School, Switzerland

The Nestlé Scholarship for Women was first awarded in 1997 and was initiated by a group of IMD MBA participants who wanted to encourage women to take the MBA.
Applicants must have been accepted into the IMD MBA program prior to their application.
Our scholarship applications are essay based, with winning essays typically including the following features:
